ARNO ABSTRACT REFLECTIONS
This page is about having fun with reflections on water...one of my favorite subjects to photograph.
These images are from Florence, Italy captured in 2009 and 2016 from the south side of the Arno River between the Ponte Vecchio and the Ponte alle Grazie. These abstract images were shot of the Arno during the afternoon with sunlit reflections on the river. In 2016, the river was flowing rapidly, very muddy and full of debris. The resulting telephoto images of the roiling, muddy water became two abstract series I call, "Muddy Gold" and "Muddy Blues."
I am especially pleased with these images as they are the result of looking at something differently and creating colorful abstracts during after-capture processing.
