FORM PHOTOGRAPHY
For me, form photography means compartmentalization, isolation, seeing things up close and personal, seeking the portion of a subject or scene that emphasizes its design over it’s substance. Form can be captured in both natural and man-made subjects, and frankly, I like both. I enjoy this type of photography because it allows me to focus on my favorite elements, color, design, and light. I will also admit that it is often subjective whether an image is more about form or substance. If one is really lucky, the captured image is about both, and viewers can argue the case for which it is. Here are some favorite images of form in nature and form a la Homo sapiens.
