NATURE AND LANDSCAPES
Nature is the universal force that provides the foundation of our world, sometimes magnificent and sublimely beautiful, and other times, raw and terrifying when her forces are released unchecked.
As an earnest photographer, I shoot all my images in digital raw format and process them primarily using Adobe Camera Raw. This wasn't always the case, as I have been at this for fifty plus years. Some of these images were captured originally as 35 mm color slides and scanned into my computer for processing. The interplay of color, design, and the magical effects of light and reflections in Nature have always fascinated me. Nature is one of my favorite subjects and offers many possibilities for capturing artful images, including landscapes, seascapes, form photography, flora and wildlife.
These images were captured in various locations, mostly in California where I live. Among them, viewers may recognize images from Montana de Oro, Point Lobos, Yosemite and the western Sierras. Other locations include Alaska and British Columbia, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and sites on the island of Maui.
